“The Lacandon Maya is going to the ruins, selling ornaments, bows, and arrows. Tourists arrive to learn about the Mayan culture and explore the ruins, like those of Palenque: this is the Temple of the Cross with the Flower. Ancestors lived differently, they just didn’t wear clothes because there weren’t any at that time. Those are the houses from the ruins, but now it’s all touristy.” – Kayúm Ma’ax
