Artists find it essential to share their knowledge and practices with Indigenous communities, which are often excluded from the mainstream circuits where various artistic disciplines are promoted. For the MUY Gallery, it is vital to socialize the artistic perspectives that exist among Indigenous creators through dialogue, traveling exhibitions, and workshops designed to involve community members through hands-on exercises and experimentation with different materials and tools commonly used in artistic creation. This practice fosters reciprocal learning and a closer connection between the artist and their community, generating reflections that challenge the hegemonic frameworks that define art and the artist.
